A. Hudon is the recipient of the 2016 Emily M. Auld Memorial Prize in English. This scholarship is awarded annually to a junior majoring in English who has achieved a high level of performance and demonstrates great promise for the future. Established by Frank L. Auld '35 in memory of his wife, Emily, a former senior English teacher at Trinity High School.

S. Toor is the recipient of the District/Authority Scholarship. This scholarship is distributed across school districts and independent school authorities that recognize graduating B.C. students for excellence in their chosen area of interest or strength such as indigenous languages and culture, fine arts, applied design, skills, and technologies, physical activity, international languages, community service (volunteer activity) or technical and trades training. Winners receive an one thousand scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition.

N.Thayaal is the recipient of the Jack Cooper Scholarship. This scholarship is available for a former student of Dr. F.D. Sinclair Elementary who wishes to continue their education at any recognized post-secondary institution. Recipients are specifically recognized for the amount of hours and years of dedicated volunteering and should be well-rounded students who are or were active in school and/or community activities. The District/Authority Scholarship for Community Service Scholarship is distributed across school districts and independent school authorities that recognize graduating B.C. students for excellence in their chosen area of interest or strength such as indigenous languages and culture, fine arts, applied design, skills, and technologies, physical activity, international languages, community service (volunteer activity) or technical and trades training. Winners receive an one thousand scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition. The PAC Community Service Scholarship from Princess Margaret Secondary recognizes graduating B.C. students for excellence in their chosen area of interest in community service and volunteer activities.

"As someone who has graduated with a science degree, it is easy for me to see its value in society. Being a very curious young boy, I developed an interest in science early on. I was always very inquisitive and would visit the library regularly to have my questions answered. As I grew older, science became a passion for me and I had the privilege of attending the University of British Columbia, a prestigious institution where a wide range of scientific questions are being answered through research. I was exposed to the latest in research and state of the art technological advances. Here, I pursued a degree in chemistry, dissecting the nature of atoms and molecules. This was an exciting four year journey as I performed reactions in the lab and undertook research projects. I learned how great an impact scientific research has on day-to-day life. For example, the field of chemistry is important for the development of pharmaceuticals, or the drugs that you use to treat diseases. It can be used in the development of synthetic materials. It can be used to detect chemicals in the body, the air, or water. Every part of our lives is affected by chemistry.

Scientists help to create a better world through their discoveries, so it is vital that students appreciate and consider the contribution they can make to society using science.
